Work
Work
My work spans infrastructure, platforms, and tools designed to transform fragmented signals into structured and meaningful systems. The thinking behind this work is described in Concepts.
Tatemae
Digital infrastructure studio
Tatemae is my digital infrastructure studio, founded in 2006. Through Tatemae, I design and build systems that help organizations structure information, resolve identity, and create clarity from complexity.
This includes designing data models, building custom platforms, and developing long-term infrastructure using open standards and open source technologies.
Tatemae serves as the primary vehicle for client work and infrastructure design.
tatemae.nlGroupies
Canonical infrastructure for live music
Groupies is a platform focused on building a structured, canonical record of live music events, artists, and venues.
Live music generates enormous cultural value, but much of its history remains fragmented or lost across disconnected systems. Groupies is designed to create persistent identity and continuity for artists, venues, and performances.
The platform combines ingestion pipelines, normalization systems, and identity resolution to transform ephemeral events into structured cultural memory.
Awesome Plugins
Infrastructure components for open systems
Awesome Plugins is a collection of infrastructure components designed to extend open source platforms such as WordPress.
These plugins focus on one core principle: enabling structured relationships and meaningful queries within content systems.
Together, these components allow open platforms like WordPress to function not just as publishing tools, but as structured data systems.
Awesome Plugins supports both client infrastructure and broader experimentation with canonical data models.
Honne
Experimental infrastructure and data tools
Honne is an experimental environment for developing infrastructure tools, data pipelines, and scraping systems.
It focuses on ingestion, normalization, and the transformation of raw signals into structured data.
Honne supports research and development of new infrastructure concepts and feeds into both Tatemae and Groupies.
